Megan is a young girl who discovers that she and her BFF share a secret. Both girls’ grandmothers have Alzheimer’s disease. Megan’s story is an opportunity for middle school children (or younger) and their families to talk about what they are seeing and feeling concerning their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease. Children will be able to identify with what Grandmama is doing and have a better understanding of why Grandmama is behaving differently than she did previously.
It’s a wonderful, realistic story that can assist families in understanding why life has changed for Grandmama and the family she loves.
